Lone Goat Gallery is Byron Shire’s premier community gallery, presenting emerging and established artists from the Northern Rivers region alongside National and International artists. Located in the Byron Bay Library building in downtown Byron Bay, just a short walk from Main Beach – a quiet cultural haven among the hubbub of town.
Lone Goat Gallery presents a monthly program of exhibitions, artists talks and workshops. The gallery programming reflects the diverse array of visual arts in the Northern Rivers, showcasing emerging and established local artists as well as artists from further afield.
Our name was inspired by the elusive and last remaining goat of a small herd that once roamed Cape Byron Headland, reflecting the creativity and individuality of the Northern Rivers arts community.
Lone Goat Gallery acknowledges the Arakwal Bumberbin People of the Byron Shire as the traditional custodians of this land.
Lone Goat Gallery was a recipient of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Community Fund 2019.
