Woodburn Evans Head RSL Club is situated on the banks of the beautiful Evans River in Northern NSW, 20 minutes south of Ballina Airport. Being just over 700km from Sydney and approx 240km from Brisbane makes Evans Head the ideal choice for your family holiday. With its temperate climate and its laid back life style Evans Head truly is a hidden paradise.
Upstairs floor to ceiling glass windows overlook the Evans River for a relaxing meal or drink, large LCD TV’s for your viewing pleasure, free pool tables, Keno, TAB, FOX Sports, great food and choice of beverages. Pop the kids in the ’Little Tackers Room’ for a bit of peace and quiet or let them run on the back lawn while you enjoy the newly opened Riverfire Family Restaurant downstairs.
The RSL Club is the perfect venue for all functions, weddings or events. We have a selection of rooms ranging from very large (160 pax) to small and intimate (30 pax) with fully equipped bar facilities and catering services. All this at very reasonable rates, so book early for that special day. We also cater for inductions, team meetings or business building opportunities by supplying rooms with white boards, TV & audio and FREE WiFi.
Come down for Beef meets Reef @ Evans Head on the 21st May and celebrate a great day with the locals, including Pig Races, Street Parade, National Tug’a’War Teams and the Crack Up Sisters will keep the kids entertained.
And for all you mad, keen fisherman, the WEH RSL is hosting the Evans Head Fishing Classic which will prove to be a monster event with Frogley’s Offshore Fishing, Ballina to run the event and offering some great prizes.
We now offer Swap’n’Go Gas Bottles for all our campers and holiday makers, easily accessible at the front entrance to the Club.
The Club also offers Holiday Accommodation so you can be really close to fishing on the Evans River, boardwalk to the patrolled beach, a short walk across the bridge to the fishing Co-op and harbour. mmmm – paradise on a string.
