Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers NSW official Accommodation and Visitor Guides

Welcome to Ocean Shores

Ocean Shores is close enough to everything, yet far enough away from it all.  Located 10 mins north of Byron Bay, and only half an hour from Gold Coast airport, Ocean Shores is a perfect location to enjoy all that the Northern Rivers has to offer, while relaxing in a quiet coastal community.

Stunning coastline & mountain views from the lookout, and cracking surfing beaches of North Beach, New Brighton, South Golden and Fern Beach are part of the 7km pristine coastal strip of beach from North Head at the mouth of the Brunswick River to Wooyung Creek.  New Brighton and South Golden beaches are patrolled during the summer public holiday period. South Golden Beach has a pet friendly area, perfect to bring the whole family on holidays!

The amphitheatre formation makes Ocean Shores particularly unique and alluring.  The Ocean Shores Country Club is perched distinctly within the amphitheatre and the Club enjoys the most spectacular ocean views, down to the captivating Cape Byron and its famous lighthouse, and is great for whale watching.  Locals and visitors enjoy the challenge of this first class 18 hole course (listed in Australia’s top 100 golf courses).  Golf, lawn bowls, a swimming pool and excellent dining make the Ocean Shores Country Club a popular holiday venue.

The Ocean Village Shopping Centre is a central meeting place and caters for all visitor needs.  It has a variety of stores including a Coles supermarket, a discount variety shop, bottle shop, newsagency and post office, green-grocer, cafes, hairdressing salons, hardware store, bakery, real estate agents, accountant and solicitors offices, as well as jewellery and gift shops, optometrist, medical centre, dentist, physiotherapist, video shop, and Country Target.
Located across the shopping centre car park is the newly renovated Ocean Shores Tavern.  With a kids play area, live music, raffles, karaoke & trivia, it’s a great place to bring the family for a feed, some fun & frivolity.  The kitchen is open 7 days for lunch & dinner with all your favourite pub grub & exciting internationally inspired specials.

To experience where the locals live in the Byron Shire, visit Ocean Shores. The locals would love to say G’day.
